OUR TAKE

There are few nutrients that are more vital for our health than these in this synergistic “ADK” blend of vitamins A, D, K1 and K2.  For heart, bone, and immune system health - as well as overall wellbeing, this product is a game-changer.

Even those who monitor their diets may have challenges getting enough of these vitamins due to modern agricultural and lifestyle practices.  Add this synergistic nutrient blend to your life and enjoy a new level of wellbeing!

Why it Matters

Why are these specific vitamins so important?  All vitamins are necessary, but these are pivotal to our health, and they happen to be among the most deficient of nutrients for most of us.  When put together in a formula like this, the effect is really like 1+1+1=5:  the synergy factor is off the charts.

How could mere micrograms of a few vitamins help our heart health, bone health, and immune systems so much?  And why did we become so deficient in these nutrients in the first place?

It should not be difficult to get enough vitamin D, since we are able to create it through exposure of our skin to sunlight.  However In the last few decades, we have been urged to avoid the sun out of fear of getting skin cancer - so a lot of us have avoided even minimal, healthy amounts of sun.  The other issue that led to trouble was that the RDA for vitamin D, set at a low level just to avoid rickets, did not change in order to take into account this new lower sun exposure recommendation - and our vitamin D levels started falling.  Given how critical vitamin D is for our health - for metabolizing calcium, immune system support, gene regulation, and a host of other functions, this widespread deficiency in vitamin D levels has contributed to some real public health challenges.

Vitamin K2 is critical to our wellbeing, telling the body what to do with the calcium in our diet, and activating vitamins A and D.  Vitamin K2 is found almost exclusively in grass-fed animal products, so the shift to feedlot animal production over the last half century has created a massive K2 deficit.  Other than grass-fed meats, K2 is only found in specific foods - so supplementation is a very wise practice.

Vitamin A is not discussed very much these days, but it may be the most important vitamin of all as it is necessary for so many body functions including our immune system, reproduction, growth, hormone functioning, and bone health.  Also called retinol as its name relates to the retina of the eye - one of its many support targets, vitamin A is needed intensively all over the body.  Amazingly Vitamin A also regulates over 500 genes and plays a role in our basic metabolism.
